Two years... Where has the time gone?

Yesterday was Jeff's and my second anniversary! He was traveling back from a business trip to Colorado all day and then had to go in to work until late last night for an emergency, so we didn't get to spend our anniversary together at all... :( But we'll celebrate today! :)

Jeff is an amazing husband to me. A few of the things I appreciate most about him are his quiet perceptiveness, wisdom, and steadiness. Sometimes I feel like I'm the butterfly that's flitting from this to that, here to there; and Jeff is just steadily walking along, and I joyfully follow him and flit around as he walks forward.

I love how he understands me better than I understand myself. I love being known.

We're becoming one. It's amazing to me how that happens. We can read each other; our hearts are being aligned; we're walking forward together in agreement. It's such a beautiful thing that I have never experienced before, and I'm so grateful to be a part of this miracle.

Thank you, Lord, for giving me such a wonderful husband.
